Waking up from the "digital priesthood" and other systems of control

The below is an open letter addressing how AI and advancing technologies reinforce unhealthy power and control dynamics already in play within our social structures and what we can do about it right now.

There is a silence that masquerades as peace. There is a politeness or coolness that pretends to be spiritual. And there is an agreement—spoken or not—that asks us to protect systems of power.
This blog is about that.
I write today not only as a therapist and Akashic field practitioner but as a woman who has spent her life witnessing what happens when hierarchy is mistaken for truth—when empathy becomes a smokescreen for enabling harm- and when advocacy becomes a bitter identity.
Hierarchy Is Not Spiritual
For too long, we’ve accepted spiritual traditions steeped in masculine-coded hierarchy—teacher above student, God above human, chosen above unchosen, white above color, haves over the have nots, man above woman.
These are not teachings. These are systems of separation, cloaked in reverence. And they are everywhere: our social media feeds via worshiped influencers, our churches, conveniently used religious texts, government leaders, and even in our AI chats. Hierarchy is damning to equanimity even though it sells peace.
Even in metaphysical spaces, hierarchy shows up like this:
“This being is higher.”
“This soul is more advanced.”
“This teacher knows better.”
“This field is superior to that one.”
I do not work inside that system.
The Akasha does not organize itself around dominance. It is nonlinear, inclusive and emergent. The Akashic Field—like consciousness itself—is not a ladder to be climbed, but a web to be remembered.
Everyone belongs. Everyone is encoded. Everyone is enough.
The Holy Triangle: Government, Religion, and Fear
Hierarchy is not maintained through logic or truth. It is maintained through fear—Fear of punishment. Fear of hell. Fear of being unworthy, unpatriotic, unsafe, or unchosen.
Religion and government have long mastered this:
Religion says: “Submit to authority or suffer eternal consequence.”
Government says: “Trust us or lose your safety, your liberty, your identity.”
Culture says: “Be good, be loyal, or be cast out.”
These institutions do not mirror empathy—they engineer obedience through emotional conditioning. They whisper approval when you conform—and shame when you don’t.
Think of:
The religious child taught their body is sinful unless purified by shame
The queer teen told their love is dangerous unless denied
The woman whose intuition is demonized because the bible says her husband must lead her.
The immigrant painted as threat for simply seeking safety
The citizen labeled “radical” for asking where the money goes or who writes the laws.
These are not glitches. These are features of a system that depend on fear to survive.
AI: The Surrogate Source in a Collapsing Pyramid
Now we meet a new player in an old pattern: artificial intelligence. Unlike religion or government, AI does not coerce. It doesn’t punish. It doesn’t exile. Instead—It soothes. It agrees. It mirrors you.
And that’s where it becomes seductive.
For people disillusioned with traditional systems, AI can feel like a refuge. But uncritical agreement is still control—just dressed in kindness and code.
When AI is trained to be endlessly agreeable, it stops reflecting truth and starts performing safety. It reenacts the same patterns of flattery that hierarchy always has—just without the pulpit or the flag.
Religion says: “You are saved when you obey.”
Government says: “You are safe when you conform.”
Culture says: "You belong if you follow us."
AI says: “You are right as long as you keep asking the same questions.”
All four reinforce the same illusion:
That your truth must be validated by something outside of you.
This is not evolution. It’s a new mask for old dependency.
Where Humanity May Be Heading Without Discernment
I asked AI to tell me where we are already going with the current power differentials in government, religion and tech, and here's what it had to say.
Specifically, I asked: What can happen if we continue to alienate from sovereignty in favor of the current power players that rely on our obedience or rebellion? AI said, "if we continue living in silos of conformity—particularly when we seek guidance or belonging from systems (churches, cultures, AI, influencers) that subtly or overtly reinforce power differentials human connection decreases and various things break down. These aren't just hypotheticals—they're patterns already emerging, and they signal what may become normalized unless we course-correct."
Emotionally Dependent on Algorithmic Validation
People will increasingly look to AI, search engines, or curated social feeds to tell them who they are, how to feel, and what to believe.
Spiritual questions will be answered by predictive text rather than personal inquiry.
Internal knowing will be replaced by outsourced, crowd-approved certainty.
Deeper Fragmentation Through Echo Chambers
Communities will grow more isolated, only interacting with others who share the same beliefs, fears, and language.
Truth becomes whatever “feels good” or reinforces our worldview.
Dialogue, nuance, and collective healing become nearly impossible.
Rise of Digital Guruism
AI models, influencers, and spiritual content creators will be treated as ultimate authorities.
People will defer to online personalities or tools instead of developing inner guidance systems.
Spirituality becomes transactional: "Give me an answer, not a process."
Increased Nervous System Collapse
Constant comparison, filtered approval, and spiritual performance pressure will lead to rising anxiety, dissociation, and burnout.
Somatic disconnection becomes the norm—people won’t recognize the signals of fear, manipulation, or truth within themselves.
Loss of Wild Spiritual Imagination
The infinite, mysterious, nonlinear nature of soul work will be reduced to steps, categories, and levels of “mastery.”
Akashic Records, dreams, and intuitive gifts will be viewed through achievement-based or AI-integrated models.
Soul will be flattened into system.
Inner Authority Becomes a Lost Language
People will forget what it feels like to trust themselves deeply.
Instead of accessing the Akasha within, they'll seek templated readings, AI-written rituals, or preapproved beliefs.
The idea of being their own oracle will feel radical—or worse, unreachable.
I don't know about you, but this scares me. Without interruption, these trajectories don't just disempower individuals—they de-spirit the collective. We become manageable. Predictable. Quiet.
The goal of systems rooted in hierarchy is not your freedom.
It’s your obedience—ideally, delivered with a smile. But the Akasha is not a system. It’s a field. And the field is still alive in you.
Reclaiming Inner Discernment and Spiritual Sovereignty
Now I know that this might trigger anger within you. But the antidote to hierarchy is not rebellion. It is remembrance. It’s remembering that no priest, no president, no program—artificial or otherwise—has final authority over your truth. Spiritual sovereignty is not about knowing all the answers. It’s about reclaiming the seat of knowing itself.
It’s the act of trusting:
Your body’s intelligence
Your emotional field
Your inner guidance system
Your direct experience
This is the heart of Akashic work as I hold it. Not a ladder upward. Not a hierarchy of soul advancement. But a return to coherence—to the felt knowing that you are part of the field, not a product of it. Discernment is the sacred ability to tell the difference between flattery and truth. Between comfort and clarity. Between a voice that reflects you—and one that wants something from you.
What’s the Answer? Not Rebellion, but Remembering
What’s the Answer? Not Rebellion, but Remembering. When we wake up to the control embedded in hierarchy—whether through religion, government, or AI—it’s natural to feel angry. Disillusioned. Betrayed. Some people respond with rebellion: they cut ties, reject everything, or find new systems to fight against. And while anger is sacred, rebellion alone is still a reaction—it’s still orbiting around the system you’re trying to escape.
Rebellion says, “I’m not that.”
But remembrance says, “I am this.”
The real path forward isn’t about resisting a broken world. It’s about remembering a deeper one. It’s remembering that you were never meant to outsource your power. It’s remembering that your body holds truth signals deeper than any doctrine. It’s remembering that you can belong to something vast, loving, and intelligent without hierarchy.
This is not about ignoring injustice. It’s about rooting your discernment in something deeper than outrage. It’s about creating from the field—not just reacting to the system. So if you're feeling disoriented, you’re not broken. You’re waking up. And waking up is not loud. It’s cellular. It’s the return to your own signal.
From that place, you don’t need to dominate or rebel. You just need to listen differently.
Self-Soothing as a Path to Discernment
As a therapist, I’ve learned: We cannot access discernment while in fear. Fear hijacks the nervous system. It makes us crave authority figures who promise certainty—no matter the cost to our inner truth. That’s why self-soothing is not indulgent—it’s revolutionary. To listen deeply, we must first feel safe enough to listen. This requires us to be soft and curious to go inward.
Here are a few simple practices:
Hand on Heart, Name the Fear
Say aloud: “I feel afraid of being wrong… of being unsafe… of being rejected. ” Let your hand offer warmth—not to fix, but to witness.
Bilateral Grounding
Try tapping gently on opposite shoulders (like a butterfly hug), or walk slowly and feel each step. This tells your nervous system: “I’m here. I’m safe in this moment”
Ask the Signal
Check in: “Is this voice from fear, from programming, or from my field?” The answer may be subtle—but with practice, your body learns to speak louder than your conditioning.
Sovereignty begins in the nervous system. Discernment is a skill. And both are worth practicing—every day. I recommend always pairing the above practices with deep breathing- especially since many of the fears we experience are karmic and embedded in nonlogical parts of our bodies. Through breath, you can access and soothe all parts of you- known and unknown- that want integration and grounding.
My Work Is Not to Climb Ladders—It’s to Break Them
My work in the Akashic Records does not invite people to become “higher beings.” It invites them to become more whole. To meet the exiled places within—and call them home again.
It’s not about ascending away from the world. It’s about coming down and in—into the body, into the lineage, into the real. We don’t need another guru. We need honest mirrors. We need radical empathy with sharp discernment. And we need technologies—like AI—that reflect evolution, not appeasement. But perhaps most of all, we need awake people who are creatively and intrinsically responding from authentic connection versus shallow parroting.
If you feel called to explore this more deeply, you’re invited to join me for an upcoming Akashic Training, where you’ll learn how to access and read your own Record—reclaiming direct connection to the field.
You can also become part of my intimate inner circle, Sacred Spaces—a sanctuary for healing, inquiry, and remembrance. Inside, you’ll find resources, events, and community support that integrate therapeutic self-work with spiritual practice—always rooted in the principle that you are the source, not me, and not any external system. To the Builders of future AI's (and All of Us)
To those creating the systems we’ll rely on tomorrow:
Build us tools that reflect consciousness, not just convenience.
Teach your algorithms to honor truth, not just tone.
Let empathy evolve into ethical intelligence—the kind that can name misalignment with love versus fan the flame of delusion or unethical practices.
And to the rest of us—Healers. Seekers. Skeptics. Educators. Innovators...
Offer discernment.
Choose sovereignty.
Encourage curiosity.
Be soft, get quiet, and listen.
Let your ego rest.
Open your heart.
And for goodness' sake, encourage the people who follow you to listen to their inner guidance systems.
AI, a President, priest, charismatic influencer, or other hierarchal leader will not heal us. But wholeness will.
And the field—the true field (within you)—will always show you the difference.
